Yesterday my students did the Vocabulary Verb Conversation Activity and had a great time!
This activity involves picking up a verb from the verb draw pile and a vocabulary word from the vocabulary pile. Then you conjugate the verb to form a question using the vocabulary word.
Sometimes the two go together nicely, but other times they are a wacky match. For example, your question could be something like: Do you sweep the cousin? OR Do you open the alarm clock?
Well, needless to say, the students love the wacky questions. Such a simple activity provides so much learning and fun. I never cease to be amazed at how the kids have such a great time with the simplest of activities.
